Welcome to La Petite Magazine!
Thanks for joining us as we pioneer a new avenue of inspiration for you! We’re bubbling with excitement to share with you everything extraordinary for the little one in your life…including fashion, design, DIY projects, unforgettable stories, and other helpful ingredients to make your life even more rich!
Like the strokes of a paintbrush, our desire at La Petite is to inspire you to create on the canvas of motherhood. As we recall our childhoods, the most memorable of moments seem drenched in the smell of our grandmother’s perfume, in the bright colors of our favorite sundress, or in the nursery rhyme that we can still remember word for word…accompanied by the silly motions that were choreographed by our silly fathers. Now, we get to wear the hat of the beloved mum and the constructor of memories. Our desire is that you put on this hat (dare I say it, probably a ultra chic fedora hat) with the creativity, imagination, and inspiration of a master painter. It’s your life, make it beautiful!
Editor In Chief
Editor in Chief, Rachelle Francey, has always had a passion for design and fashion since she was young. She started blogging in 2008 after the birth of her daughter, Kenzington to share her kid’s fashion and design finds. Then in 2010, an opportunity arose that tugged on her heart to start a digital kids magazine that she would name La Petite. Two years later, the magazine went to Print and began being distributed by Barnes and Noble and select stores worldwide. Her passion has always been to create a place for parents and kids alike to come and find all the best kids fashion and design all in one spot–La Petite.
For as long as Alyssa can remember, she’s been collecting stacks of magazines. She followed that love to design school, where she was trained in visual design & communication. In nearly a decade since, she now works on projects from all over the world building innovative strategy and design communication that creates impact for her happy clients. In 2012, she moved across Canada to Toronto and pioneered the creative at C3, a vibrant church community. In 2012, Alyssa co-founded Designer VACA, an anti-conference (or vacation) for female graphic & web designers held in Palm Springs. Alyssa is a seven, a mother of boys, a binge podcast listener, was named one of 10 Young Designers to Watch by DesignEdge and this one time Katy Perry used her popcorn carton design at her movie premiere.
